Been thinking (and blogging) about play behaviour. Simply put, play behaviour is creative in that it’s not passive intake of produced content. It’s engaging, hot (in McLuhan’s sense), empowering…
As comments to that post explain, creation is in fact really easy and painless in many cases. Commenting on a book bought on Amazon.com is a form of “content creation.” Dropping someone a note about something you’ve seen can, sometimes, have as much of an impact on the world as publishing a book. Yeah, butterfly effect and all that. (What’s the name of that book about mavens and other types of people?)
So we’re all thinking about similar things. Must be a meme, mindshare thing…
